To reach the waterfall, you’ll need to embark on a moderately challenging trek that takes around 2 hours. The trailhead begins at the base of Satrem village, which is well-connected by roads and can be accessed by any vehicle.
The trek through the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary is an adventure in itself, offering stunning views of lush green forests and a diverse ecosystem. Along the way, you might spot unique wildlife such as barking deer, sambar deer, Asian palm civet, small Indian civet, black panther, sloth bear, leopard, and even tigers. The best time to visit Satrem Waterfall is from October to April. During these months, the weather is pleasant, making it ideal for trekking and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Although visiting during the monsoon season (June to September) offers the waterfall at its peak flow, the trails can be slippery and challenging, making October to April a safer and more enjoyable option for most travelers.
